How to approach this passage

Separate programme fees, accommodation costs and included meals. The conditions for non-EU students differ from the conditions for EU students. These are historical passage details, not current college prices or immigration guidance.

Worked answer review

Question 16 is FALSE because the programme cost is already built into non-EU students’ tuition fees. Adapted Question 20 is TRUE: those students are strongly advised to attend. A recommendation should not be rewritten as a compulsory-attendance rule.

Review your reasoning

  1. Locate the part of the supplied passage that supports your answer. Keep claims made in the text separate from your own knowledge.
  2. Check whether the task requires a letter, a short answer or a True/False/Not Given judgement. Follow the instruction for this question group.
  3. After checking the key, identify whether an error came from locating information, interpreting a statement or entering an answer in the wrong form.
